Beacon Centre
The Beacon Centre here at Musgrove Park Hospital holds outpatient clinics for Haematology and Oncology patients. There is also the Beacon Day Unit for chemotherapy treatments, the Radiotherapy Unit and inpatient facilities on the Beacon and Haematology wards.
All categories of solid cancer or malignant tumours (with the exception of paediatrics and the rarer cancers such as testicular, sarcoma and primary brain) are seen by the department.
We are incredibly proud of the incredible work that staff at the Beacon Centre, and we understand that some supporters want to say thank you. The best way to do that is by donating to The Beacon Centre Fund.
The Beacon Centre Fund supports the Centre in developing the space, educating staff and improving patient experience and wellbeing.

How can you support us?
The Beacon Centre is in need of two Paxman Dual Scalp Cooling machines for patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
These machines use cutting-edge science and technology to help prevent chemotherapy-induced alopecia, the hair loss that occurs during treatment, and can prevent or reduce painful side-effects; this creates efficiency and comfort, but also maintains dignity for our patients throughout such challenging times in their lives.
The total cost for the two devices is £22,000, and we are looking for a generous donor to help make this happen. If you think you can help, please get in touch at LoveMusgrove@SomersetFT.nhs.uk or call us 01823 344437
