This year will be a Christmas like no other for so many, including patients, their loved ones and our colleagues at Musgrove Park Hospital. For some, it will mean very limited or no time with friends and family while people navigate Hospital visiting restrictions and the Christmas Bubble rules.

So we are asking for your support to help us make this difficult Christmas as easy as possible. Your donations will help us to purchase things like individual gifts for those staying on Christmas Day, iPads and digital radios so patients can communicate with family from afar and have something to listen to during their time with us and toys for the sickest children staying with us over the festive period. Donated funds could also be used to support the wellbeing of our staff, who after a difficult year need our thoughts and support.

Most of Somerset finds itself in Tier 2 of the Government’s Lockdown Restrictions, with some to the north of the County finding themselves in Tier 3, so why not chip in some change to our Christmas Appeal that you might usually have spent at a festive event that is no longer happening in 2020?

Maybe you could donate £1 to cover the cost of that mince pie you might have had from the office Christmas bake sale, or £5 that you might have spent on a mulled wine at the local Christmas market or even £10 that you might have spent going to see a Christmas Nativity or Carol Concert?

Whatever you can donate will make the world of difference to patients and staff at Musgrove Park Hospital!
