Royal Patron for Love Musgrove
Love Musgrove is honoured to announce that Her Royal Highness The Countess of Wessex GCVO has become the charity’s Royal Patron. The announcement follows The Countess’s visit to Musgrove Park Hospital on 24th September. Her patronage reflects Her Royal Highness’s ongoing support of Love Musgrove, the hospital’s official charity, and her continued support of hospitals in the United Kingdom.
Her Royal Highness completed her first visit to Musgrove Park Hospital in March 2018 as part of the charity’s MRI Million Campaign of which she was the Royal Patron. The campaign raised over £1 million to purchase a much needed third MRI Scanner for the Radiology Department. The Countess of Wessex returned to the hospital this week to officially open the new MRI Suite that was built following the success of the campaign and is now helping to reduce patient waiting times for scans.
As part of the visit, Her Royal Highness met staff and patients across the Hospital as well as visiting the new MRI Suite.
Brian Perowne, Chair of Love Musgrove is thrilled to have Her Royal Highness’s support, saying “Having The Countess of Wessex’s continued support through her patronage of Love Musgrove is a great boost for the charity and its vital work in supporting the patients and staff at our hospital.”
